After 9/11

After the events of 9/11, I began photographing what is now almost 15 years of war. I did this from the point of view of the spectator, not as a soldier or a journalist. I used media to make media. Not only did this long war change the world as we knew it, but simultaneously  the technology that has radically changed our personal lives was nascent then. In 2011 I had no cell phone and used dial up internet. There was no iPhone, iPad, Facebook or Twitter. The cloud meant the moisture in the air above your head. There were however satellite phones and war was now beamed into your living room.
