With any luck this post will become live on April 21, 2017. That all depends on whether our visas are issued by flight time on April 20. Fingers crossed as we attempt the family reunion trip to Iran with my husband and his two sisters.

I decided to go live with this blog even though our plans have changed. This antiquities shop in Paris is as close to Persia as we will get this trip. The night before we were to leave for Ireland, April 11, we got the call that we were not going to get a visa to Iran the following week in London. In fact no Americans were being issued visas until after the Iranian elections. We were Trumped.

Tonight April 20, I just read on my news feed that policemen were shot on the Camps Elysée. As my husband said, the world is very unsettled right now.
